Summary: This eLearning course was developed for my client, Ally Public Adjusters, in order to provide learning opportunities for new consultants with the company. Using the ADDIE model, I worked with the client and SME to analyze needs, design and develop an innovative and effective eLearning course to address these needs, implement the course, and evaluate the initial results.

Executive Summary:
This project addressed the need for a more effective training program for new consultants with Ally Public Adjusters. The existing program relied on one-to-one training with the company owner, and with her many responsibilities running the business, she has not had the time to work with each new hire enough to ensure they acquire the depth of knowledge needed to successfully complete full home inspections on their own.
Challenge:
Currently, new hires do not know how to perform a complete home inspection. This lack of knowledge and skills has resulted in higher turnover of employees, loss in revenue for the company, low customer satisfaction, and a significant negative impact on the business owner’s time as she has been the only one capable of training new hires while simultaneously managing all of her responsibilities in running the business.
Solution:
To address these challenges, we developed an interactive eLearning course using Storyline, Vyond, and Canva. The course incorporates knowledge of the 5-step home inspection process, and includes in-depth content for each step, along with specific information on how to complete each step in the process.
Results:
The new course implementation has correlated with an increase in home inspection completion rates among consultants. The interactive format and engaging content have led to improved knowledge retention, with consultants demonstrating a deeper understanding of the specifics involved with conducting home inspections. The business owner reports feeling more confident in providing employees with the knowledge and skills needed to perform home inspections, as well as increasing employee retention and sales long-term.
